A Day In the Life of Lucas

Catching up on December... these photos were all taken between Dec 1st and 23rd. After this we move on to 2009, where Lucas rings in the new year with his first steps! Thar's right, he's walking! Video coming soon.
Here's a typical day for Lucas:

Christmas with the Virginia Vincents

Lucas was amazing on the plane. We flew direct from Austin to Baltimore and Lucas napped for at least 90 minutes on the way there and on the way back. This freed up Laith and I to read a magazine! No crying or climbing to perch on top of our heads. ;) Everything went as smoothly as we could have hoped for! This was our first time flying with a checked carseat and that went well too. It was easy to retrieve it from the baggage claim and installed quickly in our rental car. I think having a familiar seat was helpful in keeping Lucas happy during the long drive to Annandale and during all the other hopping around town we did to see various friends and relatives. Lucas enjoyed spending time with everyone though he required some warm-up time (and no mama in visual field!) upon first meeting them. He especially liked playing with cousin Amity, who's only a year older. Their hair color is exactly the same shade and if you catch them with the right expressions (which I didn't), they look like brother and sister. Very cute. Hold onto your seats, because I have LOTS of photos from this trip... we visited at least 6 different families/friends while out there!
