Ice Cream Cake!

Everyone needs a little Vitamin "I"! I got a custom Ben and Jerry's ice cream cake (chocolate and strawberry) for my birthday today and invited over a few friends to help us eat it! Deeeeelicious!
I thought it would be funny to have something written on the cake besides "happy birthday". I bet the cake decorator thinks I'm evil...All in all, a good time. The cold icecream was exactly what the doctor ordered for the ear and throat pain I've been having the past two weeks. We even have a few slices left over for additional treatments as needed. :)

Baby Shower!

Yesterday was our baby shower over at Daniel and Michelle's house. Daniel grilled the chicken, burgers and franks and Michelle put out a nice spread of finger foods, drinks, and cute baby decorations. We also had a cake with strawberry filling. Yum! It was so nice getting to hang out and catch up with so many people that we don't get to socialize with often enough. It was also cool that some of our friends could meet eachother for the first time. We got some amazing gifts that will really be useful once Lucas arrives and some really cute stuff that were total surprises as well. We also got a few requests to add an extra middle name for Lucas... Skywalker. Sally kept saying that she seriously liked the flow and sound of it. :) I suppose if it weren't already associated with Star Wars it could be a nice hippy flowerchild type of middle name!
