Aunt Janice's 60th

Sophie Makes the Rounds

Sophie has had busy social life since her arrival... :)

The first person to visit Sophie was Grammy, who was there for her birth, then her Aunt Andrea and Uncle Ameer when she was 4 days old, then Aunt Karen (Jenna's best friend) when she was 8 days old. I unfortunately didnt get any photos of these first brief visitors because I was in survival mode and not thinking about getting pictures so much as getting rest! Meemom visited when Sophie was 2 weeks old and by then I was recovering and wouldnt even think of missing getting photos of them together- especially because we wouldn't see her again until February.

Aunt Jill came when Sophie was 3 weeks.

Then at 5 weeks old, we went on Sophie's first long car trip to Centreville for her Great Aunt Janice's 60th birthday surprise party where she met more family.

Then the Yoders drove up from Knoxville on their way to Thanksgiving with the Vincents in Fairfax, where we would all reconvene for the big meal. Grammy came too and we got a photo of her with all her grandchildren!

And then when Sophie was 7 weeks old, my friend Jen came from Williamsburg.

What a whirlwind in your first 2 months, Sophie! Everybody loves you!

Front Doors

6 mo, 1 year, 2 years, 3 yrs!

***This post was written just before Sophie was born. I'll be back-dating it in a few weeks after everyone's seen it! :) ****

My mom took photos of my brother and I by our front door for as long as I can remember.

She did this really regularly but not on a strict schedule or with a particular pose in mind. I also have photos of her as a kid sitting by her front door,



and photos of my grandmother and her brother by their front door as well.

I love it that this is such a long-standing tradition in my family so of course I want to continue it with Lucas (and Sophie once she can sit up!)
