We did an egg hunt for Lucas (not really hidden- just placed around the front yard) and put Veggie Bootie in the eggs. He was really excited.

Lucas LOVES things that growl. Sometimes he points to a big rock or the coffee maker and makes that growl too. Here his tigers help him eat lunch:

Sunday Dates
Laith and I have a standing date with each other every Sunday. It's our way of reconnecting and continuing to do the fun pre-baby activities that we used to do. Like mountainbiking! Weeee!

Wow!
This has nothing to do with the Vincent family, but I just stumbled upon this group and had to share it. :)
These videos are of a Staten Island public school 5th grade chorus. Not a magnet program, not a performing arts school. It just makes me happy to watch these 9 and 10 year olds sing. They're so INTO the music, so happy to be singing, and it just makes me want to put more of my own energy into creating things that inspire and speak to our souls. It also makes me want to support music and art in our kids' education because I believe that those 2 things (and literature/poetry too) are what make us fully human and interconnected to each other.

17 Months
I swear I combed his hair before this shot. Everything about Lucas just tends towards entropy. :)
17-month-old-Lucas' Favorites:
Foods: Cheese Pizza, Pirate Bootie Corn Puffs, dried cranberries, oranges.
Activities: Anything outdoors but particularly pushing large wheeled objects and running amok making joyful noises. Also likes to play with his stuffed animals by throwing them, jumping on them and making them dance to music.
Firsts:
* Called me Mama!
* Is asking us to give him words for objects and then tries to repeat after us. Has coherently said "lettuce" and "dirt" but with "W" in place of the l and r.
* First TV appearance http://www.kvue.com/news/vess/stories/033009kvue_small_business_bill-cb.8705469f.html once you get through the ad, we're 15 seconds into it. I'm wearing a cowgirl hat in case you don't recognize me and Mr. Lucas is about to eat a cupcake!
