Red Racer

Lucas is riding a two-wheeler! :) No pedals yet so he hasn't beaten out my brother for the title of youngest bike-rider (3 years old with pedals and no training wheels. Then next day he was riding over snowmound jumps like a bmx-er!) Laith and I are still very proud of Lucas for mastering what was initially a scary balancing act. I'll try and get a video up soon so you can see how fast he can go! Yay Lucas!

Bicycling and Feasting (and cooking!) Ibti

Laith's cousin Ibti is riding a big loop around the country visiting farms, co-ops and community gardens in an effort to learn about sustainable agriculture and, no doubt, to have an amazing adventure along the way. We were happy to have her stay with us for several days in Austin and immensely enjoyed her famous cooking and showing her our favorite sites around town. Today I babysat both Sufyan and Rand. Lucas had a blast and I could do the dishes while they happily played together. Who'd have known 3 is less work than 1? :)
